    Newbie Q about Ingredient Entry

    Hello,

I just bought BigOven a few minutes ago and have a very basic question. I just copied and pasted a recipe from a website (fantastic feature by the way) and pretty much edited every properly to the way I wanted except for the following:

Under the ingredient details, I cannot enter multiple numbers under the quantity field. For example, a reciple may say 1 to 2 teaspoonsful of xxx or 2 to 3 tablespoons of yyy but I must be missing the obvious way to enter this in properly and having the recipe properly displaying the multiple quantity of the desired ingredient.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Leo

    Hi Leo,

The best way to enter these into BigOven is to put the "up to 3 tablespoons" stuff in the PrepNotes section of the ingredient line in question.  e.g., instead of "1-2 tablespoon sugar", write it as "1 tablespoon sugar; up to 2"
