Running the latest Big Oven update

When I try to run the latest Bib Oven update to my Deluxe Version 1.8.978 I get the following error message, "The installed version of the application could not be determined. The setup will now terminate" I am running Microsoft Vista Ultimate. Can anyone help?

Can't import recipes after downloading update, getting 'invalid date checksum' error
